My Weekend
Had a busy weekend! Friday was a Women's appreciation dinner which was so nice. A BIG thank you to the K of C!! It's so nice to be appreciated. Saturday was shopping day at SAMs Club. You really can't beat those prices. So, now that I've said this outloud I feel it was a splurge, yet a necessary one! $60.00 for a set of sheets. But, they are sooo soft!! 600 TC, and if you've never slept on 600 TC sheets, I highly recommend you go out and buy a set!! Love ,love, love them.
Sunday, I went to church early then came home and got to work in my craft room. I cut a few things out on my Cricut, then made my first Mother's Day card which I will post on my card page. Go check it out.Have a beautiful day!! xo

I feel so lucky!!! I stopped at the local thrift store the other day as I haven't been in there in ages. I wanted to see if they had any crafty things, they didn't. But they did have both of these Napa Valley boxes and she sold them to me for two dollars each.

I didn't care for the dark wood so I just threw on a little white paint and here they are. I love them. I didn't have 164 ink pads(lol) so I used the smaller one for some of my ribbon. Not bad, huh?

Heading out to church now. My husband is an officer in the Knights of Columbus and tonight is their installation, beginning with Mass and ending with some awesome food.Good evening to all.

No excuses for why I've been MIA for way too long!! It's not because I haven't been making cards, I just haven't posted them. I'm really going to try to get this blog going and post regularly.

My craft room ( yes, I am lucky in that I have a whole room dedicated to crafting) is pretty well stocked but you can never have too much !! One of my favorite pieces is the Ikea Raskog. My daughters got it for my birthday. I was so excited , I love it!!!

Isn't it awesome? It's the same color as my room. These are great!! They hold so much and since it's on wheels I can roll it away when I'm finished and I don't have to keep all of my supplies on my desk. I recommend all crafters should have one.

I made this for my husband. It's a combination of things from my stash which means it's a little but of everything (SU,CTMH, local craft stores, etc.)

I also tried my hand at a homemade ice-cream cake. It was delicious !!

See it there among the candy bouquets and gifts. I made another one for my daughters birthday last weekend. It too was a big hit. Unfortunately , it got cut into before I took a picture.

Here's a few cards I've made recently....

I cased this one, I think it was a Jennifer Maguire design. I changed it up by using glitter paper and I cut the balloon freehand as I do not have the dies that she used on hers. I think it turned out pretty good.

This was really simple. I just embossed the foil cardstock with the birthday folder and added the scallop circle a piece of ribbon and that's it. Simple but pretty.

This thank you card was made using my stash to so I can be specific on product lines.

As I said earlier, my craft room is well stocked and I have products from everyone. If I know I will be posting a card, I will try to list products/ company.

Well, I'm off to make dinner. Have a beautiful day.

Hello,I forgot to mention it yesterday ,but on Sarurday 5-11, I joined the Stampin Up family and am now an official Demonstrator!! So if you have any stamping needs or wants (most of mine are these) I'm your girl. Just leave me a comment and I will get in touch with you. If you've never tried stamping or card making, I can tell you from experience it's very easy and relaxing. But the big reward comes when you give your creations to a loved one or friend. There is no gift greater than one made from the heart and the recipient of your creation will feel that love and so will you!! So what are you waiting for? I'm really excited to get started!!

So today I felt like doing a little painting . I have this old bookshelf that I could really make good use of in my craftroom . In the first pic you'll see I almost forgot to take the pictures, lol. I painted it flat black and I added luan covered in some fabric from my stash. I then proceeded to fill it up with a few of my stamp sets and other supplies. I think it's cute.

Oh boy ,I am so sorry I fell off the face of the earth for awhile. I've been pretty busy getting my craft room together ,making cards for Mother's Day (which I forgot to take pictures of before mailing them),painting (that I got pictures of)one daughter home from college and one graduating in a month and lots of other stuff I won't bore you with.
So anyway, here are a few non-Mother's Day cards.
This card I made for my daughter to give to her friend. I used the Create a critter 2 cartridge ,paper from my stash, sentiment I used my SU tiny alphabet stamps.
I bought this stamp from Hero Art and couldn't wait to try it out,the ink is from a set of Marvy Uchida.paper is from my stash.I just love daisy stamps.
Oh yay, I found a couple Mother's Day cards that I didn't use.
